Radio, Downloads, & Gigs OH MY!

May 11th 2025

I just uploaded a new song on BandCamp.com for download for a price of only $2. "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord" is an African-American spiritual that was first printed & published in 1899 but it was probably composed before the Civil War by enslaved African Americans. Rafael Alvarez my friend and one of the executive producers of the upcoming vinyl gospel record, suggested that I record the song as an instrumental on slide guitar. I liked the idea so I did it.  ...Continue Reading

Radio & Gig in Miami

May 5th 2025

I am keeping as busy as possible doing a few private parties, and teaching guitar, harmonica and singing but the gig situation has definitely slowed down for me.  I don't know if it's just me, or something that is affecting people all over the country in all walks of life. Maybe it's the tariffs, the chaos, the threat to our way of life, the increasing bad weather, or all of the above. I can tell you this, I'm trying as hard as I can to stay busy.  I'm also learning a lot of classic ro ...Continue Reading

I am also teaching private guitar lessons as well as the occasional voice lesson. I am also performing for InSpirit a couple times per month so things are okay, just different.  I am still ...Continue Reading

We Are One, original gospel tune

April 9th 2025

*WE ARE ONE* is an original gospel song about peace, love, and hope performed by the Robert Ross Band. It is available on Band Camp for download. It was written to remind people that war is not the answer and that there is more that we have in common than what keeps us apart. It is absolutely necessary for a country to defend itself from a military attack by another nation, but it is never okay to attack another nation without provocation.  We hear a lot of ugly and vicious lies lately about ...Continue Reading
