Ross has won 2 New York Music Awards for Best Blues Artist against elite artists such as John Hammond Jr., Johnny Copeland, Taj Mahal, and Rosco Gordon. Since moving to Florida in 2017 Ross has won 3 Florida Blues Challenges, the South Florida Blues Challenge, the SouthWest Florida Blues Challenge, and the 2024 Treasure Coast Blues Challenge, and made the semi-finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN twice!
