NEW VIDEO
This is where my music and my personal political views come together. I hope you can respect my views even if you disagree. At the very least we should be able to agree that freedom and security can co-exist and that no one, not even the President is above the law.
I've done a lot of reading on these subjects, so if the lyrics offend you, don't blame me, blame the people in charge.

Peace, Robert

Brother Can You Spare A Dime: A brand new video we put on YouTube a few days ago. This is the first time we have announced it. This is a rewrite of the 1932 Depression era song by Jay Gorney (music) & Yip Harburg (lyrics). The new lyrics were written one year ago by Robert Ross and inspiured by a political cartoon sent to me by my daughter Naomie. It’s not about the economy but about spying on Americans without a court order, illegal detention, and torture. One of the abuses was that detainees could not call a lawyer, or friends or family members. This is what the world calls "disappearing". These unconsititutional acts were kept secret until word leaked out and then they were denied. When it was no longer possible to deny them, they were rationalized in the name of national security. They figured Americans of all peopl e, would be willing to give up some of their freedoms for a little security although I fail to find this stuff reassuring. Anyone who questioned or protested the policy was called unpatriotic or worse. Robert Ross: engineer, vocals, & guitar. Mike Halverson (GLaundry: video.

Wasilla Killa: Since we uploaded this onto YouTube on 9/28 it has  gotten over 1300 hits. Sung to the tune of Hard Hearted Hannah (composers: Jack Yellen, Bob Bigelow, & Charles Bates, 1924) with original lyrics by Robert Ross. The new lyric is about John McCain's vice presidential running mate Sarah Palin who would be a heartbeat away from the presidency if the 72 year old is elected. She has some very extreme views on abortion, gun control, book burning, wildlife conservation, the environment, hunting, and just about everything else. She and her husband, “The First Dude” also have a long relationship with a secessionist group called the Alaskan Independence Party. That’s right, they want Alaska to secede from the union! Jon Loyd: engineer, Mike Halverson (GLaundry): video, Robert Ross vocals & guitar.
