​My new vinyl record "Gospel Gems" is out of the factory. I’ve always loved gospel music and I finally got around to recording some classics and I think you’ll find it came out really well. There are full uncompressed files on Band Camp that you can download for $2 or $3 bucks each.

There's a new recording along with a video of one of my original songs, "Broadway Charlie’s". I collaborated with Elliot Zimmerman to produce the video and the recording and I think we did a pretty good job. Elliot uses AI for video. A pretty interesting project, and certainly something different.
Mike Anglin and I will be on “Folk and Acoustic Music” w/Mike Stock on WLRN 91.3 FM Radio or online at: www.folkandacousticmusic.com from 2 to 5pm on Sunday March 22 promoting my new record and a celebration of the 25th anniversay of Inspirit on March 29 in Lake Worth’s Rudy’s Bamboo Room that will feature myself and several other Florida’s most notable music artists. We will also be celebrating the life of Ginny Hale Meredith Inspirit’s recently departed founder.

Two time NY Music Award winner & International Blues Challenge Semi-Finalist Robert Ross (vocals, guitar, harmonica) & Mike Anglin (bass & vocals) appear together on WLRN 91.3 FM to promote Inspirit's 25th Anniversary Fundraiser on March 29 at Rudy’s Bamboo Room in Lake Worth. They will appear sometime between 3pm and 5pm with Mike Stock on "Folk and Acoustic Music". WLRN is a PBS station and is licensed to the School Board of Miami-Dade County, Florida. The WLRN station serves a weekly audience of more than 500,000 listeners. In addition to his radio show Mike Stock is involved with the South Florida Folk Club and the Broward Folk Club.

The Fundraiser will also celebrate Ginny Hale Meredith, the founder of Inspirit who recently passed away. InSpirit is a non-profit organization that provides entertainment for people in rehabs, senior centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc., while also providing work for musicians to entertain them. And Rudy’s is a music venue in Lake Worth.
The current minimum donation for the show is $35 in advance to see all the acts, or $45 at the door. Featuring:

Robert Ross is two time New York Music Award winner. The soulful singer, songwriter, guitarist & harmonica player lights up a room with roots music including blues, classic rock, soul, country, and hipster jazz. Ross apprenticed with legends like Big Joe Turner, Mama Thornton, Lightning Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, Memphis Slim, Honey Boy Edwards, & Brownie McGhee. Johnny Winter recorded one of Ross’ songs. Bob Fass, the legendary host of WBAI's Radio Unnameable said, "Robert Ross is one of the great blues spirits.” Since moving to Florida in 2017 Ross has won 3 Blues Challenges in various parts of Florida.

From award winning recording artist & seasoned educator Robert Ross
I will be taking on a limited number of dedicated guitar, bass, and harmonica students regardless of age or current level of expertise.
Robert is a two time New York Music Award winner and a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee. Robert is known for a wide variety of blues, jazz, soul, country, rock ‘n’ roll, folk, and other roots music. Robert worked and recorded with Big Joe Turner and also worked with Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, Big Mama Thornton, Brownie McGhee, Memphis Slim, and other legends. One of Robert’s songs was recorded by Johnny Winter, and two other songs appeared on the soap opera “All My Children”. The Robert Ross Band has released 7 internationally distributed CDs and toured two continents. Robert has been teaching guitar for more then 25 years privately, and 13 years in NYC public schools. Robert’s work in the schools has been cited by the NY State Council of the Arts (NYSCA) for “best practices in arts in education programming”.
Lessons are $40 per half hour, and $60 per hour.
