I just uploaded a new song on BandCamp.com which is ready for you to download for a price of only $2. "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord" is an African-American spiritual that was first printed & published in 1899 but it was probably composed before the Civil War by enslaved African Americans. Rafael Alvarez my friend and one of the executive producers of the upcoming vinyl gospel record, suggested that I record the song as an instrumental on slide guitar. I liked the idea so I did it.
Please let me know how do you like the song. Again, you can download the song as a bigger and uncompressed WAV file which sounds better than any mp3 file. If you want to download the song onto an mp3 player, you can first download it onto your computer as the WAV file, and then make a duplicate file, and then convert that file to be an mp3. Then you'll have an mp3 file for your mp3 player and the CD quality file for the computer.
There are two more songs that I will upload to BandCamp.com in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime take a listen to "... Crucified ..." and if you like it, tell your people about it.
There are several other gospel songs up on BandCamp.com along with some blues, etc. Check it ALL out! I have about 10 tunes there at present.

I just appeared for about 25 minutes on WLRN to promote my upcoming gig at Luna Star Cafe on Friday May 16. I was interviewed by Mike Scott whose show Folk & Acoustic Music has been on that PBS Radio station for about 45 years.
Also appearing with Mike was my old Greenwich Village buddy Rod MacDonald who knocked it out of the park especially with his original song about the recent banning & burning of books.
I performed two original songs on the show, "Broadway Charlie's", and "Where Do We Go When We Go?". Mike shot a video of my performance and when it is uploaded to the WLRN website, I will email you all the url so you can see it, and hear it.

Come down to LUNA STAR CAFE on Friday it's a great little music venue!!
