   I has been a crazy 17 days since I last sent an email to you wonderful people on my list. What have I been up to? And what am I up to now?
   Well, first of all, I was doing a lot of gigs in August and then I came down with a major cold. Not CoVid. Just a cold but a real doozy, a whopper. I had a terrible cough and my head was completely stuffed up. I only had a low grade fever for part of the two weeks but I just couldn't shake it. I rarely ever get colds anymore since I started taking Vitaman C and other immune boosting supplements, but every few years or so I do seem to get one. I used to get colds 3 or 4 times a year before the vitamin regimen. Anyway, it turned out that this cold was caused by a bacteria and my doc prescribed an antibiotic for 5 days.
   I had no idea that bacteria can actually cause cold symptoms. The doctor said that about 3% of colds are actually caused by bacteria and occasionally other little buggers like parasites etc., etc., etc. Once I found all this out and started taking the antibiotic I started to felt much better by day 3.
   I did have to cancel a bunch of gigs but I resumed working in mid September. What with recovering, and then trying to catch up with everything and book some gigs, I just put the emails on hold. 
   I'm back and I've been working on some new cover tunes from the 60s and 70s so check me out when you get a chance.

This is one of two makeup days which were cancelled due to a very bad cold. Lantana Road Library was very kind to add these two dates to the schedule and in order to squeeze it into their busy schedule they found room on Thursdays which also works for me. So, come on out for the last two lessons on the first two Thursdays in October. Featuring: Two time NY Music Award winner Robert Ross (vocals, guitar, slide guitar, & harmonica) teaching guitar from 3:00pm to 4:00pm every Tuesday for 16 weeks starting on June 6 through September 19. GUITAR / BASS / HARMONICA LESSONS
From award winning recording artist & seasoned educator Robert Ross
I will be taking on a limited number of dedicated guitar, bass, and harmonica students regardless of age or current level of expertise.
Robert is a two time New York Music Award winner and a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee. Robert is known for a wide variety of blues, jazz, soul, country, rock ‘n’ roll, folk, and other roots music. Robert worked and recorded with Big Joe Turner and also worked with Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, Big Mama Thornton, Brownie McGhee, Memphis Slim, and other legends. One of Robert’s songs was recorded by Johnny Winter, and two other songs appeared on the soap opera “All My Children”. The Robert Ross Band has released 7 internationally distributed CDs and toured two continents. Robert has been teaching guitar for more then 25 years privately, and 13 years in NYC public schools. Robert’s work in the schools has been cited by the NY State Council of the Arts (NYSCA) for “best practices in arts in education programming”.
Lessons are $40 per half hour, and $60 per hour.
