King Bee (aka: I’m A King Bee) was written and first recorded by Slim Harpo (aka: James Moore). 

This video was shot at the Stan Bronstein Benefit at Manny’s Car Wash in 1998 by an unknown videographer. Stan “The Man” Bronstein was a founding member of Elephant’s Memory which was John Lennon’s back up band for several years. Stan & Robert played together for several years either with the Robert Ross Band or with Stan’s own band. Stan played with the Dave Keys Band to and Dave is in this video. It was always a thrill to hear Stan blow the roof off whatever structure we he played in. He was a beast.
