Note: July 5th, 2017 is my last day in New York, and then I move to Boynton Beach, Florida. I hope to see as many of you as possible before I go. Here's my schedule until then.

And I do hope to come back now and then to see family and friends, and to do a little playing in the coolest blues venues in the city. Until we meet again remember, I love you to death and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.

The Pomona 50th Anniversary Community Festival

Festivities begin at 12:30pm. There will be an original song performed by the writer Michael Ficocelli and his wife Marci called From My Porch In Pomona; a string quartet led by Ed Simons, the 100 year-old founder of the Rockland Conservatory of Music; The Hirsh Brothers Klezmer Band; and The Don Falzone Jazz Trio with special guest Wayne Cobham. Wayne is also going to sit in on a song or two with us. Plus there's a poetry reading, some speeches and the first mayor who is also one of the village founders is flying in from San Antonio, TX. He and other mayors will be awarded keys to the village. There will be food and drinks (no alcohol), children's activities, a magic clown, face painting, etc.. Finally, Joe Ham & The True Blue Blues Crew with Joltin' Joe Ham (drums); Mark Dann (bass); two time NY Music Award winner Robert Ross (vocals, guitar, slide guitar & harmonica); and special guest and 2 time Grammy Award winner Wayne Cobham (trumpet) will perform from 5pm to 6pm.

Jalopy Theater Presents, "Roots n Ruckus," a night of folk, country, jazz, old-timey, Americana, and blues every Wednesday. Robert’s set time is to be determined. 
The full show is from 9pm to 11:30pm You might very well see and hear people playing banjos, guitars, fiddles, washboards, tub-basses, kazoos, and harmonicas. This is the gig to go to for real deal organic folk music in New York City. Hosted by Feral Foster and always featuring a stellar group of musicians and characters. I will be taking on a limited number of dedicated guitar, bass, and harmonica students regardless of age or current level of expertise.

Robert is a two time New York Music Award winner and a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee. Robert is known for a wide variety of blues, jazz, soul, country, rock ‘n’ roll, folk, and other roots music. Robert worked and recorded with Big Joe Turner and also worked with Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Otis Rush, Big Mama Thornton, Brownie McGhee, Memphis Slim, and other legends. One of Robert’s songs was recorded by Johnny Winter, and two other songs appeared on the soap opera “All My Children”. The Robert Ross Band has released 7 internationally distributed CDs and toured two continents. Robert has been teaching guitar for more then 25 years privately, and 13 years in NYC public schools. Robert’s work in the schools has been cited by the NY State Council of the Arts (NYSCA) for “best practices in arts in education programming”.

Lessons are $40 per half hour, and $60 per hour.
